Tis the Season for Tissues

One of my biggest pet peeves is how hideous tissue boxes are.  I know they have come a long way but they still have a hell of a way to go, in my opinion.  I cover them any chance I can get.

Vintage tissue box covers are tricky.  Anyone else grew up with this? (Bless it, may it rest in peace). I think it served better in our house as Barbie's hot tub than it did a piece of fashionable decor.

But not all vintage tissue box covers should be getting a bad wrap.  There are plenty of ones I would gladly welcome back into my house.

Below is a collection I found on Etsy that I loved:

Fresco from Mayfair Tissue Holder - $28

(Picture this stacked on top of a bunch of very colorful coffee table books on your side table!)

Hand Carved Wooden Tissue Box - $38

(Look how great this mixes with the white counter top it is on. Again, this is about that cold and warm balance we want to strike when using vintage items).

Set of 3 Plastic Vintage Tissue Holders - $14

(Oh my gosh, HOW fun are these?!?!)

So, I have to know, did your Barbie enjoy her vintage tissue cover hot tub as much as mine did?!?! :)
