Little Boy's Birthday Party with Vintage Touches
I am not sure how many of you know this but I actually have a day job in addition to running Capitol Vintage Charm. And the beginning of the year is VERY much my busy season (which would explain the lack of blog posts lately) at work. Anywho, I have been swamped lately.
When we bought our house last year, I told the realtor that I was looking for a house I could throw a birthday party for my son, Grayson. Our rental wasn’t big enough to have parties. I was determined my little man would have his first real birthday party this year even if I didn’t have the time to put it together.
Well, that’s where I enlisted the help of my friend, Jennifer of A Tasteful Table.
Jennifer hosts the most lovely and classic parties. I love going to her house where you immediately feel not only welcomed but pampered. I asked her to help me create the same type of feel for Grayson’s party.
She came up with the menu, provided all the serving pieces, helped me set up the entire event and even provided me with a playlist for the event. I got comprehensive lists for shopping at various places and she even included links for me so I knew exactly what to get. (She offered to do some of this shopping and cooking for me too but I had taken the day off of work to get it done).
What I love about her services in particular is that you can rent place settings from her. GENIUS! I can’t tell you how many times I wish I had a set of glasses or a different set of plates when I was setting the table for a dinner party. And especially in DC….who has room to store all of these entertaining essentials?!?!
Yall. She totally saved me. I love entertaining and having friends over but I don’t always have the time to make it happen. Jennfier at A Tasteful Table is my new go-to. And you know I can’t get enough of the vintage touches she has!
